First, I should acknowledge the fact that it has been a whole year since my last post. A whole year! Crazy. So much has happened that attempting to write about it would require a book. Instead, I am considering the idea of starting a video blog and posting the episodes here. This series would not be about drumming or music. No. This would be about all the profound epiphanies I have had in the past year as I have looked back on yet another drastic life change and asked myself what it was all about.

As I have been forced once and for all to confront the realities of who I am, what I am, where I came from, what I’m capable of, and what (if anything) I have left to contribute to this world, I think I have some stories and lessons to share that just may be of use to someone.

I may need to consider publishing these under a pseudonym or brand that is unrelated to Indy Drummer (for the sake of reputations and keeping personas separate), but I’ll work that out.
